Choreographed Dance:

• We breakdown your chosen song into parts, allowing us to suit moves to each part of the dance e.g. lyrics or other musical parts. Our choreography is designed to be flexible on it’s timing, allowing you to relax and enjoy the music. As we are developing your dance, you of course have the option to change parts of the dance to better suit your style and preference.

• Near the end of each lesson we include a brief written & video demonstration of the moves you have learnt. This to assists you to learn faster and help you both practice at home

• Our recommendation for couples new to dancing is to have both Stefan and Joanna present for lessons. This can assist people who are visual learners to learn your dance at a faster pace as we can partner swap. We can also alternate between having both of us and just Stefan (who can lead or follow)

• We do charge slightly more per lesson, as this covers our time to develop the dance & our additional practice time prior to your lesson

• This is a great option for people who want to look great on the dance floor, but not have an exact choreographed dance to memorise. During the lessons Stefan will demonstrate a range of moves that you can select to learn for your first dance. He can also help you link them up together or you can choose your own way of putting them together into a sequence (if needed). This allows you the flexibility to develop the dance yourself or improvise on the day.

Prior to your first lesson - we have short phone consultation to establish your needs, discuss details about your special day, establish your dancing experience and answer any questions that you may have (no charge for this)

• Most couples generally have between 4-8 lessons depending on their dancing ability or how long your song is, but we are happy to provide more or less to suit your needs

• Lessons are held at our home located in central Nelson

• We generally try to do lessons weekly (unless we or you have prior appointments). It is better to start earlier and not leave it to the last minute :)

Payments are available via cash (made after each lesson)

Once your 55 minute lesson is finished, we take a moment to record a short recap video to assist with your learning at home.

$90 per lesson with Stefan

Non Choreographed Dance

$60 per lesson with Stefan (can both lead & follow)
