26th May - Flash Mob - non choreographed - Kim Murdoch - Mothers 80th birthday party - 1pm

Kim Murdoch’s (one of our fellow dancers) Mother is having her 80th Birthday Party on Sunday 26th May.

Kim and some of his family will singing on the microphone and as part of a surprise for his mother Ethel, he would love some (if not all :) ) of our dancers to attend and dance along to create a non choreographed flash mob. Ethel grew up in Motueka and has been dancing for around 60 years, So come along and make her day.

Our plan:

As Kim starts singing we can all come on to the dance floor and dance. Maybe just start with a basket and then continue on with any moves that you would comfortably freestyle. It also could involve some of our more advanced dancers bringing some people up from the crowd to join it :) (optional- will see how it goes on the day).

TIME: Meet at around 12.45pmish ,Kim to start singing around 1pm

ADDRESS: The Blue Heron Lounge, Waimea Village, 125 Gladstone road, Richmond.

DIRECTIONS: Blue Heron lounge -Waimea Village (big sign post) drive into the village and approximately two hundred metres in on the left is the large hall known as the blue heron lounge.

DRESS: Smart casual - Kim will be singing some Elvis songs, so dress up is optional….

MUSIC: A lot of Music from the 50’s, short fast songs, use small steps :)

NOTES: Some nibbles and drink will be provided but have lunch before hand

See you all there :)

Kind regards
