Due to the Motueka Memorial Hall being damaged, we have postponed our free class night that was open to the public on 19th January 2021

We have secured a temporary smaller hall for our current dancers until the Memorial Hall reopens.

While brand new beginners are more than welcome to attend, we recommend that due to the smaller size of the new temporary hall, first time beginners hold off attending. We will host another free night for first time beginners once we are back in the Memorial Hall. Your patience is appreciated. Please fill out your contact details on our homepage to be kept up to date when we are back in the Memorial Hall.

Location: Senior Citizens Hall - 10 Pah Street, Motueka 7120

Directions: Located behind the Motueka Library, to the left side of the Memorial Hall.

Go between the Library and the Memorial hall and entry is between the Rose Gardens.

  • Doors open 7.30pm with social dancing

  • 2 move beginner class: 7.45pm - 8.20pm

  • Social/freestyle dancing: 8.20pm - 9.15pm

  • Pub trip afterwards :)

Class information

  • Please bring a drink bottle to stay hydrated

  • Everyone is welcome to join our beginner classes

  • If you think you are ready to join our Beginner Plus or Intermediate class, you need to have a dance with one of our teachers to confirm if you are ready to safely attend

  • Once you are able to attend our Beginner Plus/Intermediate classes, your admission price covers the whole evening

  • Payments are available via cash for casual classes

Casual: $15

Trip passes are valid for 6 months from purchase date

Student Pricing

Casual: $10

5 trip pass: $40

10 trip pass: $70

Pricing is valid for students 18 & under

Trip passes are valid for 6 months from purchase date

Multi trip pass information

  • Passes are able to be used between Nelson & Motueka classes

  • Passes are to be purchased and used individually

  • You will need to present your pass to our door team on arrival each time that you attend

  • You are able to pay via internet banking or cash at class for your multi trip pass
